I am getting ready to purchase a 2012 chevy 3500. I am not sure what type of body I want to put on the truck. This truck will be used in both the construction as well as the landscape division. I was looking at dumping landscape bodies. My dealer is trying to talk me into a rack body. Any suggestions or pictures?

Seems like youd want to step up to a 450 or 550 if your wanting to dump. If you insist on a dump with a 1 ton get an alminum one, we made the mistake once and you cant haul anything with weight.

most of the bigger companies around here are going to the 350 - 3500 hd chassis with either aluminum flat beds or aluminum dumps and gas engines. If you need to carry weight tho you need to go with a heavier chassis

I have both a diesel and gas 2500 and there is now was I will ever run a gas truck again. So the 3500 will be a duramax. The dealer want to put a reading body on the truck. What are some good names for AL bodies?

Here is a good company just up the road that makes custom bodies. They can make it any way you want. http://www.road-craft.com/
