I have a 2006 Exmark TTHP with 48" deck and 17 hp Kaw. My understanding is that the only difference betwee the 17hp motors and the 19hp motors that are used on these units is the carb. So, my question is, can I replace my current carb with the carb used on the 19hp Kaw and essentially turn it into a 19hp motor? Any insights would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

    To be truthful I dunno...

Is this the 'small-block' KAI series we are talking about or the larger 675cc version?

I just chimed in to ask because those who know this info will want to know... and I also wanted to drop a bug in your ear...

Have you considered ordering the carb + heavy duty canister air filter system that comes on the 19hp ZTR version of your engine?

Post this on the Exmark page. They will probably know. I've got a 17hp 48" TTHP so I'm curious about this as well.

Mine has the KAI series. The model of the engine is FH541V. As for the air canister, I had not thought of it but I would be interested in that as well.

How can I move this thread to the Exmark forum.
