hi, I just bought a new tthp 36". while looking through the manual I came across this. On page 29 under the grease lubrication chart it says "no. 4 & 6 (idler pivots) disassemble and grease once a month under no load condition" I was wondering why you could not just pump fresh grease into them. and what is the correct procedure for disassembly. the rear one looks like it might be difficult to get to. thanks for any advice!

    Yard Sloth,

I deally no you should not need to disassemble the idler pivot. It is however a good idea to remove the belt tension and spring once per month and then grease the pivot. After greaseing it's also a good idea to work the idler back and forth a few times. These procedures help ensure that the grease works it's way completely around the pivot. The put the spring back on and the belt and you're ready to go.

    Thanks

    Terry
