Anyone using Tungsten Carbide blades? If so, are they worth the extra cost?
I bought two new sets one reg set and one hard tipped and mixed them up. The first time I changed them you could pick the cheaper one out of the three. The second time with only one hard tipped blade no noticeable difference.
I used to work for a cabinet shop and we could get plain steel router bits much sharper than the carbide bits when sharpening them.
Some one didn't know how to sharpen carbide then.
Speaking of sharpening, you will need a diamond wheel to do it. You regular grinding wheel will not touch the carbide, so thats another consideration.
I'm waiting until they come out with diamond tipped mower blades
I'll stick with regular blades and keep the sharpened up, thank you.
Thanks for the replies. I'll stick with the regular.
