Twin Cities - MN - BLACKLIST

    I thought I would start a list of deadbeat customers who have decided to skip on their payments. I have not given the entire name or exact address since this is not a conviction thread, just a heads up...

    Stein / Golden Valley/ $300+

    In fact I think there should be a BCB (Better Customer Bureau) just like the BBB. There are so many people that will screw the lawn guy out there. We need someone to lobby for us, so we can put leins on property. As of right now we don't have the teeth to bite back. We have to risk more money to sue and it may not work.

    Yes, collections can be time consuming and expensive. I tend to have one or two per season. A BCB is a good idea. Locally there is Angies List, it lists contractors with whom you have had good experiences with. The lien idea is good, people are moving in and out of houses around here like used cars.

    This guy won't budge. I tack on late fees, and he still doesn't pay. Oh well, at this rate, I'll be living in his house within a few moer months :)
