Uninvited visitors

    Yesterday I was mowing one of my accounts in a heavily wooded area when I looked down at the base of a tree and saw hundreds of large insects on the ground. A closer look revealed that Cicadas completely covered the entire ground and every tree and leaf in the entire yard! It was like a Biblical plague or something....completely unreal. I am guessing over 10,000 of them in a 5,000 square foot area. The Cicadas on the tree trunks were no match for the Echo 603 at full throttle though.:D

    They smell great when your trimming dont they :D They arn't here this year for some reason but they were 2 years ago and it sucked.

    I've been seeing stories about those on the news. They are going to come out strong this year. I've never seen them here in Oregon, but they say that we may even see a few over this way pretty soon. Sounds pretty nasty.

    I have yet to see the first one here in Virginia.

    We have not had rain in almost a month till yesterday when it POURED buckets of rain.

    I bet they'll start coming out now.
