This PM I applied an application of Fiesta to a really weedy lawn. Major offenders include: Buckthorn, dandelion, clover and plantain. Temp was around 65 f. I applied around 7:30pm so wind was really minimal.

Stay tuned for results. If I think about it ill snap some pics tomorrow and post them.

What was your application rate? Broadcast or spot treat? Did you follow Dr. Gardner of OSU procedures?
Keep in mind that Fiesta isn't labeled for Buckthorn and only claims suppression of broadleaf plantain. We have seen good results on clover & dandelion with 2 applications.

5 applications a year for cool season grass. the customers will be satisfied.

its probably illegal to apply that many times if you read the label.

If your neighbor is using 2,4-D he will get the same results in 2 applications and can skip spraying his lawn every other year.

look at charging 75% more to use FIESTA.

I don't sell the stuff, i'm legally forced to use it.

Weed Control is a dying business here. You either have an infested lawn or a weed control guy coming every 3-4 weeks to kill the never ending growth of weeds in your lawn.

    Thats 75% more per visit.

price out Fiesta , re application rates and lawn coverage. There is no money to be made for the spray guy and well off customers or postage stamp sized lots are the majority.

Glad to see a Fiesta thread, that's why I don't do spraying, cost way too much to do it properly and no one wants to pay. Plus Weedman and every other big name company is doing it for dirt cheap but spraying some diluted water at all the wrong times of year and during rain, they also don't follow up 2 weeks after. I have many lawn cutting customers who would gladly have me do the spraying but not at what price I would need to charge to do it properly. Everyone seems to be dissatisfied with whatever spray company they have, they all use the same stuff.

Should we still be staying tuned for those results?? Maybe the results were dismal or non existent.

Fiesta can be used as a broadcast app? That stuff is rough in the turf.

Since the cost is unusually high, why not try a product with similar active ingredients but a more reasonable price?

Perhaps a heavy-duty application of an iron product. Maybe a moss control solution. Try to reach the same amount of active ingredient per acre.
