Hey guys I'm new to the ztr world and could really use some advice. I'm looking at a Toro zmaster hp with the 27hp Kawi, 52" deck, mulching setup, solid links ont the deck (no chains) the model number is 74923. The mower is a dealer demo with 550 hours on it and it's a 2010. It has quite a few scrapes and scratches as well. The dealer says he will give me a full 5 year warranty on the mower and 3 years on the engine. Price out the door is 8000.00. Thanks in advance for the help. Eric

Yes it is. He told a new 2012 would be around 13k. I thought the price of 8k was way too high! Thats why I asked for some help.

Tell that dealer to go jump in a freezing cold lake! 13k for a 52" gas powered ztr is just highway robbery! 550 hours as a demo could equate into MANY more hours compared to someone who actually paid hard earned money for that mower and didnt beat it up. Im guilty of taking demos through some stuff I wouldnt take my own mowers through and Im betting in 550 hours, which is a ton for a 1 year old mower, that alot of other guys beat that thing up.

Thanks for the info. Sounds like someone is trying to stick it to me! What would be a good price if he wants me to make him an offer?

4-5k is all he will get for it. I wouldn't pay that for it though. I wouldn't buy it from him anyway could you imagine what he will charge you for service and parts.

Gravely is a better deal IMHO same engine and pump brand but a faster machine 13mph and they run about 7-8 for a comparable to that toro.
