Using a 36 stander for 100 accounts. Do I need a 48 or 52 mower?

    Using a 36 stander for 100 accounts. Do I need a 48 or 52 mower? The I have about 30 accounts zero lot lines (maintenance free). The rest are medium size lots around 75X100 to 100 X 125ft.

    I spend an average time cutting, blowing, edging of 25min. per house.

    yea get a 52 and use the 36 in small gated backyards. thats what I do with a 36 and 52 stander you'll save a lot of time.

    I'd go with the 23-25/52" if money allows. We use 48"s, and on 5-7K props, we are in and out in avg of 13+/- mins using one Stander. We just picked up a new townhome division with 152 units for next year. I am buying another Stander plus a Sentar Sport to handle it. It's amazing how much more production a few deck inches can make in the run of a long day on multi-unit properties.

    13 +/- minutes would be great. I am doing that on the zero lot line houses. But takes about 20 to 25 on the larger yards, I think the 5K to 7K range.

    Time is money. I think I would recoupe that investment of $7000 in about 5 or 6 months.

    My estimate is that I would add 8 hours more production time per 100 cuts.

    7 minutes X 70 houses ( with not gates) = 490 minutes = 8 hours + time to cut other houses.

    What do you think?

    What you are referring to is "opportunity time". Anytime you can rationally show the increase in production time to equal more time for other work(which would generate more $$$) it's already decided..lol. You are talking about adding 8 hours per week times four weeks each month.I would look around this fall / winter for a good deal. There are a lot of guys selling new equipment everywhere you turn. Some dealers are a little bit more susceptible to dealing at this time of year as well. And don't forget about the Channel Partner Discount Program thru Wright's website, too. We got the townhome complex through a builder we have worked with this summer. I am getting out of landscape installs, and strictly going to hydroseeding and mowing after next year.

    yeah either a 23/25HP 52" Stander.

    Sounds like you should definitely get the larger stander.... AWESOME. I would wait till the winter portion of Wright's Channel Partner Discount program to get an awesome deal. Wright discounts mowers during the slow times of the year to keep the factory moving at higher efficiency. Its a great way to get a great deal on a sweet mower. Check it out on their web site.

    Thanks for the tip for the channel program. I just bought my 36 stander 17hp, but I overpaid by $224. :angry:

    They won't get me again. :cool:

    Did you ever see the 42 inch Stander. It is one of the best mowing machines ever made. It doesnt get much noteriety due to the bastard size. It is huge in Nassau county, Long Island, where the lawns are small and there are a lot of gates. And if you have to mow an occasional larger lawn its fine. Its a great tweener...

    My setup is a 32"belt and a 48"hydro. I may upgrade that 32" to a 36" stander pretty soon, I cant stand belts.
