Using non-Hustler blades on Hustler?

Been looking into running different blades on my Hustler 52" Mini-Z. Looking at Texas Mower Parts it lists the length of 17 55/64 for the Hustler blades and Exmark as 18". I think I've seen where people are running Exmark or Scag blades on their Hustlers.

Just wondering if this slight difference in length means that they won't work?

    Thanks for the help.

I know my dealer carries an aftermarket type "Fusion" blade for my 60" SuperZ. The blade has a label on the bottom listing Scag, Bobcat, and Hustler.

I think that is going to be too big of a difference. The Hustler 60's use a 20 61/64" blade which you can substitute a Scag 21" blade.

The 18" blades are to long. They will hit. When I bought the 18" Hi-lift Gators for my 52" I just ground a little bit of the ends and then balanced the blades. It works just fine.
