I got the 48" V Ride today. The dealer I got it from is 20 miles from me and they are great. A real change from the local (closer) dealers I was talking to. It was an enjoyable experience and I think I got a pretty good deal.

I gassed it up an mowed my yard 3 times with it. Tore some turf trying to turn to fast. It was a lot of fun to operate. It will take a while to get used to it and get up to speed.

Thanks to all you guys for your input and information. This is one of the best sites on the net. You pro's are generous with you information and experience and I want to say thank you very much for all the help.

I guess I can answer the OP's original question myself -
The dealer gave me 3% for cash and then 20% for the "buy one Vride and get fleet pricing" deal that Scag extended until the end of March. It was easy and there was no funny stuff like the other dealer was talking about.

I took the advice of so many here and placed dealer quality on the top of my purchase decision and I feel really good about it.

Yep, alot of dealers are liars. Some will give you a good deal one year then try to stick you the next. Every dealer will tell you different prices and some will lie to your face about about what they can sell them for.

Last years 52 v ride went for $6400 with the factory 20% off sale.
