Value of a john deere 5025 (45 horespower)

    Want to know if anyone could tell me the value of a 2004 john deere 5025. I think he said it has 45 or 48 horsepower with 275 hours on it. Thanks for the help

    You mean a 5205? Those go for roughly $22-24k new with nothing special on them. My grandfather got his for $20k though, because he traded in a worn out IH 464. I'd say that unit would be worth at least 19 or 20k. The 5205 is a 52hp engine, 48 PTO hp tractor. The engine is great, so is the tranny. What you need to watch for is the plastic fuel tank. My grandfather's has gone back for leaks once. But after that, it hasn't leaked any since.

    Good tractor, just make sure you weight down the front good if you plan to use a MX-6 or MX-7 bushhog.
