Went and had my governor spring adjusted the other day. My RPMs are up and the lazer is running and cutting great. While i was there, the mechanic said i need to adjust (and i think he said) some sort of valve. He pointed to two covers near the spring. The covers need to be removed and the valves adjusted. Can this be done without having to take it in to the shop? Is there a way to explain it so i can do it myself? He said there is a noise he hears in the engine and that means that this adjustment is neccessary.

If he is talking intake and exhaust valves. Let the shop handle that.

Unless you are capable and understand engine rebuilds.
