okay, i need to replace the valve cover on my honda push mower, the part that says OHC , has a huge dent, causing the valves not to move, i went to bang out the thin aluminum valve cover, put it back on, fired it up ran perfectly,

One problem : IT LEAKS, do i use a sealant or a gasket or both, i know i need a new valve cover, or is this not made to replace ?

    thanks
    guys

You can try anything to seal it until you purchase a new cover, Yes you can buy just the cover and gasket.....

Just use some gasket sealer, Hondas do not use a gasket on the valve cover.

Well the version that does use a gasket, the valve cover wont bend. Its a cast aluminum piece that would probably break if it were hit that hard.

The stamped steel ones that do bend easily and could be bent back all use the Hondabond as sealent.

Ohc is for over head cam, none of them use a gasket. OHVs might. Just busting your chops RetroRob. You seem to know everything so it felt good to feel a smarter for a second.
