i want to buy a velke for my exmark....whats the pros and cons to the 1 wheel vs 2 wheel model?
Some don't like the one-wheeled velky because it leaves a stripe down the middle of each mowing path. If you are heavier a two-wheeled will leave less soil compaction plus it won't leave a stripe.
I've gone through multiple sulkies over the years. One wheeled sulkies eventually wear their connecting points in such a manner that over time the unit develops a big wobble - even to the point that if you don't shift your weight properly on turns it'll scalp the lawn with its corners... On the other hand, 2 wheeled units are more likely to clip trees, etc as you loop or pass by them.
Oh yeah, and I go through crazy number of tires on a one wheeled unit. (And no, I'm not a big boy - 170#.)
