Verticle stripes!

Discussion in 'Lawn Mowing' started by David Haggerty, Apr 11, 2003.

  1. My son Brian (29) made these stripes up and down this 45 degree slope today. He had to turn at the top! I just watched and shook my head in disbelief. He was using the 72" Toro Groundsmaster 4WD. It has enough difficulty just going side to side on this slope.
To give an idea of the size of this damm, the lake is 25' deep.

What are some of everyone else's difficult areas to mow?

Hard to tell from the pic but it doesn't seem very steep.

That isn't too bad. This one is bad. Masons are afraid to pave the driveway because they are afraid of doing damage to either their equipment, or the house. Not sure if you can see it, but there is a 3 car garage on the right. The guy had a fountain, retaining wall, and patio installed in front of the pool. If you are "lucky" you will just go for an INSANE ride out into the woods, if not... well you better call your insurance company :(

There is a little blade of grass that got missed. Can you see it right there in the middle?

Nice job actually. I appreciate straight lines after mowing greens on 6 golf courses.

Amazing how greens mowers had only 10 PSI or so in the tires.
