A woman asked me to do some pruning and trimming and she also wants to mulch front of house. How do I quote this job?

Consider your time and overhead. If you want to make a certain amount of money per hour (say $30.00) multiply the amount of time by whatever you want to make per hour plus how much mulch you need for the job and transporting it as well. Also if you're going to haul the branches away you might want to add a little. If you really dont know how to estimate how much time it will take tell them you charge ____ per hour until you figure out how long it takes you to do this type of work. That always worked for me when i just started out. The fees for hauling will definately make you feel better when you're loading, unloading knowing that you're getting paid for it.
