I am in the process of buying 7 acres. The front 3 1/2 are cleared except for 6 pecan trees. I plan on clearing about another 1/2 acre for the house to be built. The house will sit about 600 feet off the road. Initially I will have to use gravel (cost down). After we get the house completed and the wife stops finding MORE to do, I would like to start on the driveway. I would love to do a really nice stone design. I will have to do it a little at a time. What advice can anyone give me so I don't spend a lot and have to go back and spend it again???

Do the initial drive in modified 2A (3/4" minus) base compacted in proper lifts, with the proper seperation fabric, then anything else you decide the base work will be done.
