Southern Weed Science Society says that Virginia buttonweed is the #1 weed problem in Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, and North Carolina.

What is everyone using and what kind of results are you getting.

I applied metsulfuron and Triplet to a badly infested lawn last week and am waiting to go check out the results.

I still have some confront left over. It controls (not eradicates) with two apps. Corsair is labeled for it in bermuda. I think Drive is also labeled for VB treatment. I have not done any tests on these chemcals.

Manor, Image, and Speedzone Southern work very well.

Some research I read from NC State showed that of the herbicides labeled for residential use, Speedzone was the most effective on VB. The sulfronurea herbicides gave quick injury, but didn't control it permanently.

If you want to read the whole study, here is the link.

FWIW, I just sprayed quite a bit of VB this week with Speedzone Southern. So I will see how it works soon.

I have found that adding QuickSilver to the Metasulfuron works great on St. Aug.
