I sent my employee's w-2 out the end of last week. today i got one of them back stating that he has moved and no fowarding address is avaliable. I called my accountant but he was gone for the day already so i left a message. Has anyone else had this happen and what did you have to do?

you mailed it like you were required to do. It is the employees responsibility to make a change of address. KEEP the returned item for your records and do your thing like you are supposed to with the other copies.

Same answer. By law you are required to mail to last known address. If it comes back and you have no way of contacting the employee for an updated location, you are simply required to file it away with the returned label for verification of your attempted delivery.
