Hey guys ive been looking at walkbehinds and im trying to figure out the "ladder'' of quality. Obviously the begining is the belt drive fixed deck and the top is the hydro floating deck (at least price wise). But which order do they others come in: like is belt drive floating deck your next step up from the beginning or would you rather have a hyrdo with fixed deck?? Sorry its not a very clear question but I dont know how to describe it haha...

Well ya have Belt and Hydro. Thats what ya should be looking at. Floating deck is IMO better then a fixed deck. Ive mowed with fixed decks and didnt have any problems. So that just comes down to personal preference.

A Toro belt drive with a fixed deck is built as well as a Hustler Hydro with a floating deck. There just options. A hydro walkbehind will out run a belt drive but you can save some money by going with a belt over a hydro.
