I am currently going thru some problems that are being discussed on the mechanical forum but I will post here for all owners of the Walker 26EFI. I had a problem with a fuse blowing and killing the motor and to make a long story short go and read the other forum. http://www.lawnsite.com/showthread.php?threadid=19154 Walker is now in the process of telling owners not to let the fuel tank get too low. Not even once. It can burn the fuel pump out. There is 3 instances of this that my dealer is aware of so far. I don't know if it is a bad batch or if there is something to it but mine went and it has been down for 7 days as of tonight Weds. By no means do I let my fuel tank run dry and I had at least 2 to 3 inches down there. Either way they said that was the reason. It will be covered by Kohler (fully), the mower is a 2000 model and only had 381 hours on it. The dealer is really good about it but I am less than impressed with Kohler, even though they are covering it as you can tell from the other thread. BTW there is no mention of special procedures for fuel height in the Kohler manual for the 26 EFI. So KEEP YOUR TANK FULL and avoid the crap I am going thru. GOOD LUCK!
