Who has had the new 10.5" blower installed in an earlier model? How much $ was it. Just got off the phone with my dealer and he quoted me $413 plus tax for the blower, $525 plus tax for the conversion kit??!! and 7 hours labor @ $85 an hour. Is this right? I have 2 I want done but that is way to high.

Any details on how exactly this is done would be appreciated. I was hoping to do the conversion myself.

I spent $456 for my machine to get the hydro jackshaft, 10.5 blower, new skid bar and new blower chute. Got it from an online dealer, you do notice a difference because it will hardly ever clog unless the grass is wet, but I have broken 2 wheels already but thats from me hitting stuff that doesnt belong in blower, the old 10" blowers never bent in the 2 years i used them, the casing wore out before the fans did.
