I'm buying a 48" GHS w/ 26efi this spring and I'm wondering how many times per acre I will have to dump the 9.5 bushel. I realize it will depend on the grass (mostly blue and perennial rye here) but what would you say the average during the growing season will be.

Of course it will depend on the grass height and density of the turf. I mow a section of tall fescue in Kansas. This is a heavily irrigated lawn that is about 14,000 square feet, and during the peak season I dump twice. Sometimes maybe 2.5 full hoppers. This lawn takes about 40 minutes start to finish with my 42 inch deck 26 efi no speed up kit.

I don't know about acres but with my Walker I could mow appx. 10-15 minutes between dumps. That was mowing in heavy hybrid bermuda.
