Yesterday i was out with my walker and it just shut off on me and wouldn't start back up and i had to push it. I also have been having problems with the starter sometimes i have to tap the starter with a stake for it to kick on. Is there anyone possible that the starter would have caused it to shut off while it was running of no? Thanks Brett

I don't see how a faulty starter could stop an engine. A faulty ignition switch perhaps.

Anyway, check the switch and solenoid, if you hear a "click" they should be fine and it's the starter causing the problem. Diesel starters have to work so much harder to turn the engine over.

You may need to take the starter apart. Inspect, clean and lubricate the bushings with high viscosity grease.
