I have a walker mower, with just under 1000 hrs on it. While changing blades the other day, I noticed oil residue on the bottom side of spindle. I am guessing I have a problem?
Any feedback appreciated! If it is the spindle bad or going bad, does it require immediate action? Is it a complicated repair?
    Thanks for any advice.

Bluemoon we are talking about 48 with oil filled gearboxes right?

Walker-talker if I over grease my 52 I see oil stains to.

Coalburner....I think Bluemoons also uses a 52" deck. I don't oil stains....I actually see grease between the spindle and the cup that is attatched to the blade......that's normal when over-greased?

    Thanks

change seal or bearing under deck
not to hard of a job

It is more major if oil is leaking by
    gearboxes on top of deck
    replace gearbox
