Need opinions please. Looking at buying a walker zero turn 42" with dual hydro axle 580 hours with grass handling system year model 1989. Tractor model MC36-54 42" deck. Engine Kohler model M16AQS 35.9 cubic inch 16 horsepower. Transmission dual eaton hydro model 7. My concern is the age. How does it compare to a new one? Did they have any problems with this model? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thats a homeowner model Walker and an old one at that. In its day it would be good for a homeowner. There is absolutely no comparison to a MT Walker of today. If you are a commercial mower buy a commercial Walker. When the weather is right do a demo and you will see what I mean.
