Was wondering how you guys handle the situation of a wall or steps meeting up with the siding of the house. I have tried a few different ways and would like your opinions on your favorite methods.

We have stucco around here, no siding. Typically what we have to do is saw cut the stucco and install a new weep screed a few inches above and around where the wall goes, then restucco up to the weep screed.

Typically we will pull the siding off, flash the area that will be covered, reinstall the siding a re-"J" channel it. You just don't want moisture to get to the framing of the house.

You can use a rubber membrane or the typical aluminum flashing.
