I work solo and usually just do mowing. I have about 50 accounts (90%res) and Monday one of my customers asked if I could haul some debris, a pile she made from pruning a bunch of stuff. So, after my mowing was done for the day, I dropped my mowers and headed to her house. This is how I figured the bill. Any thoughts, let em rip.

    2.5 labor at $45/hr..........$112.50
    2.0 hrs Truck/Trailer..........$94.00
    Disposal Fee.....................$70.00
    ---------------------------------
    Total $276.50

BTW...the trucking charge was a 2.0hr min. It took me about 10 minutes to get from my house to hers.

Personally I think it is a tad on the high side...All you had to do was pick up some plant material (debris) that was already cut off the plant and take it to a spot to be disposed??? I would have charged about $100 MAX with disposal and seriously doubt I could charge that much (conscience) especially living 10 minutes away......:)

Actually it was. Everything from huckleberry to fir tree limbs. Some of the limbs had to be cut and trimmed. My 14' trailer was heaped.

$100 for 2 hours of work and the operation of truck and trailer? Ahh...I might be a little high, but your quote seems low.
    Thanks anyway.

The only thing I think is high is the truck/trailer. The company i work for get $45.00 for the truck. (one man hour)

    Where in Mass are you?
