How do you wash your mowers?

I blow them off daily. Then about once a month we scrub them down with a power washer and a sponge or scrub brush.

Is there any soap that works well to get that nasty grass stain off the front of the deck? I found a car wash for tar removal that worked OK at wal-mart.

westley's white wall cleaner for tires do's a great job but you should add some water to it because at full strength it can dull your paint.

i use easy-off oven cleaner on decks, it works excellent!!!

spray on dry deck, let sit 5 minutes, wash off....

test it first, some decks aren't powder coated, or use cheap paint, ie. john deere, and it'll fade.

for the rest of the mower, i use mean machine cleaner/degreaser from dollar general stores, cheap and effective!

Use it full strength with a non-abrasive scrub pad. Works great.

Simple green, scrub brush and garden hose works for us. Becareful with a power washer around engine/electrical and bearing/seal areas because of the high pressure.

We use our power washer with a cleaner/degreaser twice a week...I like our equipment looking nice. And our customers notice it as well.

Trucks all get washed each weekend as well.

To many members emailing me asking me to remove this piece of advice. Seems very dangerous.

I use Super Clean! It works good if spray it on while the mower are 2 stoke equipment is dry.

Im not sure I would use lighter fluid:eek: WD-40 should work just as good.
