I guess you all heard about my serious street bike accident. Well my partner that I joined up with just bought a Husqvarna 28HP briggs 52 inch ZTR. His mower versus my 2008 Exmark Lazer Z HP with the 27 Kohler with the 52 inch is very different in design.

Why I am falling in love with Husqvarna already?

1.) easy spacey design from how the engine is bolted in to the frame which is very simple to take apart.

2.) The front caster wheels are very very large!

3.) Seat is made better then most Exmarks.

4.) Deck is deeper and the baffle is wider to it can spread out the clippers which means less clumping like the Exmarks when the grass is wet or moist.

5.) The design of the exhaust is low and hidden so it isn't as loud as my Kohler with the muffler tip that is higher up and viewable.

6.) CRAZY CHEAP! It was going for like $5600 but he got it for $4800!

7.) The front anti scalp wheel is very wide.

I will keep you guys updated over the year with the 2014 Husqvarna mower. I have some hilly fertilized lawns and in CT it challenges all decks.

I have the same mower and I love it! I got it last year after my Hustler Dealer made me mad. (Thats another story) It is built just as tough as Hustler and Exmarks but it is about $1,000 - $2,000 less. The mower I have is the M-ZT 52 and retails at $5,499.

Do any of you run husqvarna commercial walk behinds?
I was thinking of getting a used Turf trace but if they're that cheap I might just get a new husqvarna wb.

I don't believe they have walk behinds.

It's too bad. The ones on eBay and YouTube are pretty wicked looking. The 52 inch with floating deck looks like something from a science fiction movie. I wonder why they discontinued them?

They do make walk behinds, its just hard to find. They aren't in the catalog or website. But i have seen them. They have a fixed or floating deck

Why would they not put on their website something that is currently in production?
