Water draining out of bottom head of zone

    You may have misunderstood me, when I said turn everything off I meant to leave the meter on but nothing else on meaning different stations or if the system is on the same meter with the house make sure nothing in the house is running.

    Also, what everyone else said applies.

    I was talkin' a cold call Sonny, I have not used a head without a LDC in years. Hunter does make a "lipstick" LDC that's good for 15 feet, but the friction loss has to be looked at closely. :dizzy:

    LDC = ? Low drain check? Never heard of anyone calling them that.

    I personally only use them when necessary, they can be a PIA sometimes.

    In the flats, there is prolly little reason for LDCs, out here, it's LDC City. :laugh:

    On new installs I always use check heads. Even properties that appear flat usually have some elevation change which leads to soggy spots on the low end. My Ewing dealer tells me I'm the rare exception and he has to special order SAMS for me. I take it as a complement.

    Askem to order you a large bag of the drain check valves...put them in your prosprays..save a buck or so each

    Actually LDC heads have stronger retraction springs than standard heads. Installing a LDC in a standard head may not work as well.

    Treat the disease not the symptoms, i agree.

    You don't doctor a snake bite just by killin the snake. :hammerhead:
