Does anyone have some tips on how to make the most noise from a waterfall/pond? Like how many feet should the water fall, and does it make more noise if it lands on another rock, or in a pool of water?

We will be doing a new pond construction, for my mother, who wants to block out alot of the sound from a nearby street.

I was reading somewhere about using an "echo chamber" behind the falls.

    Thanks for any tips.

you can make lots of different noises, you will have to play with it to get it the way you want it. But generally speaking the more violently the falls drops into a standing pool of water the more noise you will get. Round stones will give you softer sounds. Putting 3 or 4 big drops will block out a lot of noise.

I have found the longer the drop into the pool the louder it is
falling onto other rocks only muffles the sound
    hope that helps
