I've recently started servicing a 1-acre lawn with Bonzai grass and am having trouble figuring out what watering schedule (time and duration) should be used. Conditions are high plains desert in southern Idaho with lots of wind. Temps in July/August are 90-100 degrees. Soil content is topsoil and clay. Basically, the lawn is burning up at these temps when the grass is supposed to be drought resistant. Currently, I'm watering 1 hour for each zone every other day. Recommendation by the turf company selling this grass is to water every 3-4 days. Tried that and nearly killed the lawn. Any recommendations are appreciated. Thanks!
