i went to the mower shop today, to get blade spacers for a 48" wb. i went to 2 places. the first was sold out, the second, gave me the run around saying he was going to look for them in a few minutes, then proceded to help every other person that came in the door, who looked like they were going to spend more money then me, being that i only needed a few spacers. JACKOFF. i left there without being helped and went to a hardware store, and bought a handful of washers. has anyone else done this, and can this do any type of damage, or affect the cut, since maybe the washers aren't all completely identical. they're the same washers, but some might be slightly thinner. these are the spacers between the deck and the blade, (underneath the deck). thanks.

I've used regular washers before and never had a problem. Still cut great. You should be fine.
