We just got awarded 1/2 of a school board this afternoon. Because it was a late tender and most guys were booked solid, 5 lco's picked up the tender and there were only two bidders, one of which was number 2 from last time around, and myself. Our numbers came in close, in fact, I left 500 per cut on the table for my district, and he left 500 on the table for his. Beauty is theres no trimming involved, its a three year deal (with increases each year), and payments are net 10. The last time around, number one left 80,000 a season per district on the table, and was cutting for the same price in year three as he did in year one. Knowing he wasnt around anymore, and double checking who picked up the tender yesterday, (a lesson taught to me by a friend of mine who bids this stuff all the time) put the ball in my court.
