i have to do a job that has to be done on a saturday. every sod place around me doesnt cut on saturday unless i need over 5000 sqft. i only need 225sqft. if i pick it up on friday around 3 will the sod be good until saturday morning. i think it should be fine. but let me hear some opinions

I have the same problem w/ small patch jobs for sod. Unrolling it will stop the heat build up, if sod is to be "stored" longer than 24 hrs water daily. I've gone well over a week this way and sod was fine.

I would not leave sod rolled up overnight. All sod orders are rolled out on the first day. It is usually cut the night before we receive it, another day is too much cooking.

Unroll the sod when you get it and give it a good drink of water. When you are ready to install, roll it back up for transport, roll it back out and water again. Water, water, water!

225 square feet is minimal and these steps will save you grief down the line.

all the sod i buy is cut that morning for the most part, and we have no issues w/ it sitting over night.

all depends on when it gets cut...if it gets cut that day (friday) dont worry about it. if it gets cut the day before you get it (thursday) i might at that point.

if will be fine as long as it not 90 or so. if it is 90 or so just soak it real good. you are not talking about a lot of sod anyway. we have left if for 3 or 4 days rolled up in hot weather and just water it rolled up.it had a little brown to it but if comes out of it when you put the water to it.
