I overseeded my tall fescue grass about 2.5 weeks after I applied Weed b gone Max. I spot sprayed a lot of weeds. My question is will my grass germinate? I have heard conflicting stories on how long you should wait. Some say 14 days, some say 4 weeks? Just worried that all my watering the last 5 days will go to waste..

The label on the pesticide should tell you how long to wait...it really depends on what chemicals are in the pesticide but I would generrally say that you should get germination. Next time seed and then wait the specified time on the label to spray after germination. The fall is the best time to spray for broadleaf weeds.

If you don't get germination in 7 - 10 days, overseed the areas in which it did not come through... gernerally if your spray was on the weeds and not complete coverage, then you probably will have no problems at all... in fact you may want to overseed the dead weeds now then hit the living weeds later... later is when it should've been done as previously posted...
