OK, I need some help. Our property is in southeast Kansas.

    I have two problems:

1.) My chain link fence around the 3 acres of my shop has weeds, more weeds, and MORE WEEDS growing in it. Last year we used KillzAll 41%, some fertilizer and surfactant which killed most of the weeds. But, they came back with a vengeance this year!!!! I want to PERMANENTLY kill the weeds! I have been looking at Krovar and other 'soil sterilizers.' Any suggestions? Would I be better off using diesel?

2.) Did I mention we also have a REAL problem with Eastern Red Cedar and Honey Locust trees??? How do I KILLLLLLLL them!!!!!! I sprayed KillzAll on some of the cedars last year. It seems to be having an affect on them now. I have also tried Pronone Power Pellets (75% Hexazinone). I think they thought it was fertilizer!

HELP!! Any and all suggestion are greatly appreciated!!!

    Regards,
    Joe T.

You could use roundup extended control on the fence and the trees cut them off and squirt some Tordon on the stump it come in a quart squirt bottle

Unfortunately, the cedars and locust are growing in the fence and I can not get to them to cut them down.

I understand Tordon RTU (also Pathway), if sprayed, will kill the cedars. Anyone have any experience spraying Tordon RTU or Pathway?

Can assure you, you will never permanently keep weeds out of a fenceline unless you keep spraying it.
Or use landscape fabric and rock/mulch which would be a JOB.

Don't know how big they are but if you dill a hole in them or more if they are bigger and fill with roundup or toron it will take care of them. If they are small just spray there leaves. It may take several times

I did spray them last Wednesday with a 2% solution of KillzAll 41% (same as Roundup - just cheaper) 1/2 gallon in 25 gallons - the recommended amount.

    I have my fingers crossed - - - -

weed eater around the fence on a regular basis and keep it cut down would do it

Having your finger's crossed isn't going to do it. Just spraying the leave's only set's those tree's back a few month's. You are going to have to drill.

Weeding around a chain link fence is not a fun thing to do I would use gly and a pre about 4incs on each side just a narrow strip

5 oz of esplanade 12 oz of perspective 4 pints grounded in spring before weeds emerge and you have season long control best done before rain
