Trying to get ideas what other people are doing ,tying into well system main lines. No pump house and completely finished basements with water usually coming up in center of house.Last tie in was 5 feet deep on PVC.Like to use a Mueller drain curb stop for main water supply. With out being able to pull up PVC in such a deep hole have been using barrel fittings on each side of tee for Mueller valve.Any ideas for a better hook up.Do not want to dig one of these up in January around here because of leakage. All ideas considered.

Drain curb stops may be on their way out. The drain is looked on as a contamination hazard. Makes it kind of a pain to deal with that few feet of water between curb stop and sprinkler lines. A practical workaround is to use a genuine meter pit, with iron cover and all, as the deep hole actually provides thermal protection for the pipe.
