For me if its full service
    I hedge, prune

edge the flower beds and trees
    mow
    edge streets
    and blow.

I mow first, so Im trying to get absolutely everything I can with the mower. Then I string trim whatever the mower couldn't reach. Then I clean up any clippings if necessary. Last I blow the walkways and drive, put my equipment away, then take a walk around the property to see if I missed anything.

I found last year that after weeks of string trimming it got to where I didn't need to do hardly any. The early spring weeds and stuff got tall fast early on, but after being cut back a few times they seemed to give up.

I agree, get what you can get with mowing first, it makes trimming alot quicker.
