What are the late summers like up there? I have only been up there in spring/early summer. I know Tx gets 102 with heat index of 108. So I am guessing the summers will feel cool to me?
We have everything in line to get up there, except housing! Gonna have to do hotel while we look for a place. Hopefully we find a place and get settled soon so I can try to get a few late summer clients before it is too late.

It's typically around 90 with a head index of 500. It gets very humid here. I can't stand it.

You're certainly moving to a beautiful part of the state. We take care of a vacation home near Ligonier, which is a stone's throw (heavy throw, however) from Uniontown. Was just out there mulching today, in fact.

No words are necessary, just the pics.

The property has a stream that is fed from a spring about 100 feet off the boundary. It runs year around, now running about the level of a garden hose. The stream used to be narrow, well defined edges. But over time, silt has floated in to cover the small stream, making it much wider. I found out quickly the extent of the width! I had already trimmed it all down with the string trimmer, so there was no reason for me to be that close.

Yes, there is good reason to carry a winch and chains in the truck.
