Being new to this lawn mowing and leaf stuff.......... I have seen other LCO's scatter the leaves with a blower and than use their walk behind to go over it to pick up the leaves. Now to my question...... is do you guys use high lift blades around this time to lift up the leaves better or are you just using your normal blades that came with the mower.

I am running double Atomic blades on my Toro WB's and have been able to completely eliminate bagging....

I have not bagged a lawn yet this year.......

I run highlift gators on my mower to reduce the volume of leaves on there way into my bagger. Works great for me.

How much do a good set of high lift blades go for?

Price depends on who you buy them from and the bland quality.
Suggestion for ya, try using the search function on the home page some of the time, many of these questions have been asked and answered MANY times.

Try the MEG MO blades. Cost depends on blade size on your mower. Reduces leaves to all most nothing.

    Cheesedog,

9 times out of 10, the OEM blades that COME on a Mower ARE Hi-Lifts.

If your talking about OEM (Factory) Hi-Lifts they can range anywhere from about $10 to $17 per blade from your dealer.

You can often buy aftermarket blades from $6.50 to $15 from a mailorder or online company.

There are approximately 14 different TYPES of blades available for my 60" Lazer. And probably about 4-5 different brands. So if you own a "popular" mower, you have blade choices by the bundles. Get an oddball brand/size mower, and you'll be lucky if there is ONE other choice other than OEM blades.
