I'll be OK if I can gain 10 or so customers in the next 2 weeks

BS, late payers, and folks who only want to be mowed on Thursday or Friday.

Funny you mentioned the "Thursday/Friday" bit. I had one of those customers today when I went out to give an estimate.

When you have been in the business a few years, you can tell them when you will be cutting. You have to consider the bottom line when giving a quote. Everyone needs to figure up their gas costs for driving to a different area for one cut.

I tell them, " I can cut your grass on X day guaranteed for an extra $$"

It's easy to do them on Friday when you only have 5 customers
