Does anyone have vines at any of their properties? If so, what are you using to trim them. I have been using a pair of hand pruniers and hedge trimmers to keep back the outward growth. This property has tons of this stuff growing and if there is a better way please let me know. Thanks in advance.

I have a couple of properties like this and I usually use the string trimmer.

    Mo Green,

Do you use a string trimmer on walls?

I must try this in an area where the owner can't see if I screw it up. I can conceptualize the idea. Hope I can implement it. Thanks.

Just kill the stuff, if owner wonders what happened, say you heard something about a blight on ivy this year  :gunsfirin

tuck a blue tarp under the ivy to protect the wall and whail away on the ivy with your string trimmer. The tarp will catch most of the trimmings and use your blower to clean out the rest. I use a trimmer as a final touch on shrubs and hedges to get those last few stragglers that pop up .

Thanks, I have again learned something on this site. Still would have never thought of using my trimmer.
