What are your biggest expenses (besides taxes)?

    For me it looks like advertising - $1300 so far for my first year in business.

    After that Insurance and then the amortized costs of my truck, trailer, and equipment.

    How about you guys?

    Equipment, then gas, then storage, then advertizing.

    Trucks, Mowers, yearly, fuel, and payroll weekly.

    Labor is by FAR the largest "expense"

    Although we can consider equipment (trucks, mowers, etc.) an expense ... it's an asset on the books .... most expenses related to equipment up keep can get high on the list of yearly expenses thou

    When I was Solo ... I'd have to give it to fuel ... although as I grew my shop lease is pretty close

    Wages, benefits,The associated pay roll taxes, workers compensation, unemployment etc.

    Payroll (expense and taxes), Repairs, Insurance, then Fuel in that order.
