Here in Florida we have a grass that grows horizontal and is very course. I have the original blades that came with the Fastrac and wondering if anyone has retrofitted with other blades whether you have a Hustler or not.

We cut St Augustine in Texas and it doesn't seem to matter whether we use a low lift or high lift or a curvy mulch blade they all do well. We have a plate blocking the outlet so we mulch all grasses in our area.

No problems cutting St.Augustine or variants with any blade.

I'd be more concerned with setting up for Bahia or weedpatch lawns. Whatever setup you find to cut the trash lawns will certainly work on St.Augustine
