What blooms color in fall?

    I have a customer where Im ripping out alot of bushes, but I need to replace with something that has color everything now is green so we dont want anymore green.

    What can I get that will bloom and be colorful this late in the year that can survive MI weather. Thank you

    Mums, some varieties of daylily, roses, Sedum "Autumn Joy"....

    Perennials are always good: Ice Pansy, Ageratum, Black Eyed Susan, Autumn Joy Sedum(as said above). Ornamental Grasses shoot up their plumes this time of year, Annuals are still going strong. Be careful with the Mums because if planted they tend to get BIG and fall apart in the middle, I like them best as an annual. As far as shrubs go, variety's like Burning Bush don't bloom but have leaves that turn bright red like a maple tree. Hydrangea's still have their blooms, Variegated False Holly, Rose-of-Sharon.

    Knockout rose
    Gold mop chaemycyparis
    Blue star juniper
    Rosy glow barberry
    pyracantha
    Ilex verticillata Red sprite
