I am trying to figure out what to do with lettering on my trailer when I get it in. My original post "honest opinions on a logo" which is now in elements of business kinda confused me on what I should do. The reason I posted that is b/c I was looking for ideas on what to put on the side of my enclosed trailer. What catches peoples eyes on trailers?? I've looked all over the site and have found 1 trailer that I think looks great, but from what I understand from my first post doesn't look "professional." What do people want to see when they are driving down the road?? Thanks for any help.

The bigger the lettering for the name, logo, and phone number, the better. Then smaller lettering for services offered...

Bright colors that stand out and catch everyones attention.

I saw a black trailer lettered with bright neon green, an you could see it comin 2 miles away...

They say yellow and red are eye catching colors. Just have the letters large enough that it can be seen from a distance.

They 'wrap' buses down here. I am looking into this. Picture a brightly colored plastic wrap around the whole trailer. The trailer is enveloped in like a 3-D scene, be it flowers, trees and grasses -and a guy on a mower and another pruning shrubs in the background, but profound with colors.

Im told it's not that expensive, but I'm sorry I don't have a price yet.

With todays technology you should be able to take a picture of you and your crew working..........have it turned into a large decal and apply it like Totalcare said.

    Now that would look good!

The only place around here that does that is way too expensive. They wanted 750 to just put my name and number on the trailer, and with any additional artwork I would be looking in the $900-$1100 range. Their wraps start at 1800-2400. I know it would look alot better, but the price of $350 sounds alot nicer to me at the moment.

$1800 for that kind of advertising and that kind of cutting edge proffessional image....well worth it!

As far as what catches the eye of potential clients for around $350...it's somewhat subjective. Some people want to see clean, simple and precise...where others may be enticed by bold, loud and creative. Go with what you like, yuo can always learn, grow and change...nothins forever.

I can't understand why people will spen 1,2,4,6 grand on a yellow page ad but will not spend a few hundred on nice looking business cards and truck/trailer lettering. For me the best advertizing I could possibly get is when someone drives buy one of my customers places and they see the kind of quality I do. Chances are they may live in the same general area so if I get them as a customer it will be close. Around here I see a lot of those magnetic signs. While at a retail store I came out and saw him. He had this property all year and it looked terrible. Guess what, that nice little magnetic sign was in the back of his truck. Guess he did'nt want anyone to know it was his property. If you do exelent work like most of us here at lawn site do then spend the extra money on the signs. It will last way longer then a nice y/p ad at 1/2 the cost.
