suggest? Right now I have a Walker MT-52. I'm looking to bid on larger properties this year and think I'm going to need a FASTER machine. I only have a 5X10 trailer so I need to stick with the 50" deck. With this info which CHOPPER would you all suggest? These properties will be between 2-5 acres. At the present time my smallest lawn is 8,800sq.ft. and my largest is 2 acres. Any and all suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

What price range of chopper are you looking for?

stay under $6000.00. I think I might be able to pick-up a GOOD used one for that, I think. Maybe I'm all WRONG about used prices on these mowers though.

    1) Sell Walker AND small Trailer.

    2) Buy larger trailer (wider).

    3) Buy 60" Chopper or better yet, Lazer.

    4) Buy a midsize walkbehind.

The 60" size will suit the lawns that you are describing better. They will handle hills better, and "IF" you get bigger accounts, they will handle them better than a 50".

    Good Luck

I agree with tls except for buying a lazer over a chopper.

There is a 50" chopper on ebay that has 260hrs. on it I beleve it's suppose to have been home use!

    save $$$$$$$$$$

$20 add a speed up kit to your Walker and get 7-8 mph out of it.

unless your ground is perfectly smooth and wide open, you won't do any better as far as manueverability and hillside control.

plus the added benefit of other deck options and attachments!!!

Chopper made a homeowners model for around $5999.00. It was basically the same without the oil coolers and the Donaldson air filter kit. It also did not have the OCDC. It was a 50" cut too. As far as I know they are still making it or at least a dealer should still have one. Speed and quality of cut would be the same as the higher priced version.
